Yesterday Anna’s teacher pulled me aside and said last week they were doing some writing and Anna made a mistake.  She started to get upset and cry and her teacher reminded her that we didn’t cry over writing mistakes….side note:  she told me she tells them she loves mistake and that that’s how we learn (love these teachers, they know just what to say)…and when she said this to Anna, she immediately straightened up and said, uh, oh, um, the sun is in my eyes, as she blinked rapidly, “I just need a sip of water”.  And so she did, she went out and had a sip of water and recovered all on her own.  Darn that sun in her eyes…..
